48 Strong: LifeWaters Celebrates a Powerful Weekend at the Georgia Aquarium

On March 8th and 9th, LifeWaters had the incredible honor of diving back into one of our favorite events of the year--the Veterans Immersion Program at the Georgia Aquarium. Over the course of two unforgettable days, we proudly hosted 48 participants who joined us for scuba diving and snorkeling experiences that were equal parts empowering, emotional, and awe-inspiring.

Each day was packed with excitement: two dive sessions and one snorkel session, allowing our adaptive divers and snorkelers to get up close with some of the ocean’s most majestic creatures—from massive whale sharks and manta rays to vibrant schools of fish—all within the stunning backdrop of the Georgia Aquarium’s Ocean Voyager exhibit.

We were thrilled to welcome participants from Georgia, Florida, and Alabama, uniting as one dive family to share in the healing, freedom, and camaraderie that only the underwater world can offer. Whether it was a diver returning for another year or someone experiencing the magic of LifeWaters and adaptive diving for the very first time, every story added to the heart of this event.

With Dive Buddies certified through the SDI Scubility Program, and volunteers trained to support every participant, our events are built on safety, trust, and celebration of each individual’s journey.
